Dear Leeza,

Our small town radio station here in Northern Alberta, Canada plays your show Hollywood Confidential and I thought I would check out your website. It is fantastic that you are an inspiration to so many women in the world! I am inspired by your website and all the poetry and emails you share on your website and thought I would share a bit of my story too.

I recently left an abusive husband and am now a single parent. I am trying hard to live my life as best I can for myself and my young son. I haven't dated in years and have started a blog about my ups and downs in the relationship/divorce/dating process. I guess it's really just the process of life. I'm trying to live fearlessly, and it's taken me many years but I think I'm finally getting there. I hope to be able to go back to school and eventually become a Social Worker or a Lawyer. I love to help people and I want to find a profession that lets me do that.

I hope my blog entertains people, inspires some to move on with their lives (after abuse or other unfortunate circumstances), gets some people to laugh, and also helps me to be live fearlessly and enjoy life. I love writing poetry, short stories and journalling. Writing a blog is a process I've always wanted to try and have finally done it! It can be found at zee28.wordpress.com.

Knowing that I have to stop the cycle of abuse for my son, my inspiration to leave also came from the women in my family who have endured abuse and left their abusive partners. My strength came from inside, and I know I am a strong and capable woman! Alone or not, I'll face life knowing I did what is best for myself and my son.

I want to stop the cycle of anger and abuse in my life and hopefully others reading this will know that they can do the same!
